Group Exercise Classes and Workshops: Fun & Fitness!

I am excited to offer several group exercise classes and workshops in the Fall 2012.  

Workshop: Stronger Core on the Ball

Location: Kalyana Yoga Shala, 375 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa, K1K 2Z7
Description:  This workshop will introduce you to the numerous effective moves that target your core strength and stability using only your body and the gym ball.
Date: Saturday, September 15, 2012.
Time: 2:30 Pm to 4:00 PM
Cost: $22.00 plus HST.

Class: Tai Chi and Yoga

Location: Kalyana Yoga Shala, 375 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa, K1K 2Z7
Description:  Join us for 12 weeks of Tai Chi and Yoga. Each class starts with 10 minutes of Yoga to prepare the body. The remaining 50 minutes will focus on the Yang Style Tai Chi. We begin with a simple 8-form and build to a 24-form.
Start: Week of September 16th, 2012
Duration: 12 weeks
Dates: Either Mondays 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM; Fridays 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM; or Saturdays 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM
Cost: $180 plus HST for 12 weeks

Class: Be on The Ball

Location: Kalyana Yoga Shala, 375 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa, K1K 2Z7
Description:  Invite yourself to embark on 12 weeks of 60-minute Yoga on the Ball classes that will develop your strength and balance.
Start: Week of September 16th, 2012
Duration: 12 weeks
Dates: Either Mondays 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM or Fridays 2:45 PM to 3;45 PM
Cost: $180 plus HST for 12 weeks

Class: Nordic Walking Comes to Kalyana

Location: Kalyana Yoga Shala, 375 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa, K1K 2Z7
Description:  Join us for 8 weeks of Nordic Walking. Explore surrounding trails and stay active through the Fall. Nordic Walking technique will be covered. Walking distances and pace progress gradually.
Dates: Starts on Monday, September 17, 2012 and runs for 8 weeks.
Time: 6:30 Pm to 7:30 PM
Cost: $60 plus HST for 8 weeks. $75 + HST if you prefer to rent poles from me.

Class: Posture Perfect

Location: Function to Fitness Studio
Description:  Exercise and educational program focusing on the treatment and reversal of poor posture with an emphasis on body alignment and proper body mechanics.
Special Note: Gather a group of your friends and do this class together!
Dates: Contact me regarding upcoming sessions at 613-296.8276.
Cost: $120.00 (5 sessions). Payment due after first class.
Class Size: Limited to 5 per class for individual attention.

Class: Strong to the Bone

Location: Function to Fitness Studio
Description:  Exercises and educational program focusing on balance and strength training for individuals with osteoporosis and low bone density.
Special Note: Gather a group of your friends and do this class together!

Cost: $120.00 (5 sessions). Payment due after first class.
