
After graduating from McGill University - School of Physical Therapy in 1984, Margaret became involved in fitness training and teaching. Since 2000 she has maintained her certification with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Margaret is currently the Ontario Director of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Margaret is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Margaret's undergraduate degree is in Physical Therapy from McGill University. Exercise Programs for Osteoporosis
Margaret has designed a comprehensive exercise program for people with osteoporosis and osteopenia. Margaret provides these programs to clients who visit her studio in Ottawa, Function to Fitness, and online at MelioGuide.com - the leading online provider of exercise programs for people with osteopenia and osteoporosis. The exercise programs on MelioGuide.com have been used by thousands of clients and health care professionals around the world.Margaret is author of several client treatment manuals including Exercise for Better Bones, Yoga for Better Bones and Safe Exercise, Better Bones.
In addition to attending to clients offline at Function to Fitness and online at MelioGuide.com, Margaret trains her fellow health care professionals on the treatment and management of osteoporosis and osteopenia. During 2008 and 2009, Margaret trained over 500 Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Kinesiologists and other health care professionals across Canada and the United States on safe and effective treatment and exercise programs for clients with osteoporosis and osteopenia.
